Wheatland Township Trustee Mary C. Frances submitted her resignation effective October 15, 2025.
In accordance with 60 ILCS 1/60-5, the Board of Trustees shall fill the vacancy by appointment within sixty days.
The appointed trustee shall hold office for the remainder of the unexpired term.
In order to be fill the vacancy, the appointee must:
1) Be a member of the same political party as the person vacating office (Democratic); and,
2) Be a legal voter of Wheatland Township; and,
3) Have been a resident of the township for one year prior to the appointment; and,
4) Not have been convicted in any court located in the United States of any infamous crime, bribery, perjury, or other felony.
If you are interested in being considered for the vacancy appointment, please submit a letter detailing your interest and proof of residency to Supervisor Crowner by October 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM.
